at the stage in boston, as a matter of fact, where the crowd, a lot more subdued as you might expect is awaiting mitt romney to step forward and at some point i suspect soon, we will hear from the former governor of massachusetts who as we said is in boston. he will come forward to acknowledge he has been defeated despite running a very tough and hard campaign against an incumbent as has been noted many times, this is the first time since franklin roosevelt has been re-elected with unemployment this high. but here we are. >> that was a key issue in the exit polling tonight, derek. people talking about the economy and trying to find a best way forward. there were so many undecided voters who are trying to decide do we stick with the current course. is it change that we need. the economy and its progress out of one of the worst recessions we have ever seen. a key issue in this undecided women voters. so many elements we didn't even have 4 years ago. >> we talked about how close the election would be. if the numbers hold up and just perhaps president obama gets florida or virginia, the

guardia, about 40 mile-per- hour wind in boston and a 54 mile-per-hour wind gust in nantucket. our highest wind gust is 26 in annapolis. we have a little light rain and showers pushing across parts of the metro area primarily east of i-95. that will be the best chance to see anything in terms of precipitation. temperatures are chilly, 40s and 30s, 39 in gaithersburg, 40 in rockville, 40 in great falls, 40 in fairfax, still 42 in college park and 41 in bowie. so tracking the nor'easter, light rain and/or snow primarily east of town tonight. it will stay dry in the western suburbs. good news for everyone, it will be a dry morning commute. keep your jacket handy and sunglasses tomorrow. yes, we'll see a fair amount of sunshine. now we see showers and rain baltimore, anne arundel into prince george's county. it moves out pretty fast. the clouds hang tough through midnight. then we see breaks and by tomorrow afternoon we're looking at pretty much pure sunshine. the winds will pick up, though. remember we're talking low 50s, but dress for the 40s tomorrow because it's going to feel a little blustery.

four days ago the boston celtics spoiled the washington wizards' home opener but coach whitman was impressed with the heart that he saw on the court that night. well, last night the wiz going for revenge in beantown and once again you can say they played with some heart. the wizards put everything they had out on the floor. down 11 at one point in the fourth, here underneath. jams it home to tie things up at 80. now 30 seconds left, still tied up. rajon rondo nailings the two pointer and gives the celtics the lead. but with time winding down, wiz down two. singleton and slams it home and we're headed to overtime. in ot though the celtics able to pull away. rondo finds bass down the court for the dagger. wizards gave a good effort but lose this one by six. and fall to 0-3 on the season. >>> check out this scene. the second leg of d.c. united's playoff series against new york was postponed from last night to tonight because of heavy snowfall from the nor'easter. if you recall, their first leg was already moved from new york -- new jersey to d.c. because of superstorm sandy. look
